The House of My Pilgrimage
“In the house of your Pilgrimage, you can have hope, through the Word of God given to you”

We know well the word ‘Pilgrim’, and for most Americans it refers to the first people who came to these shores. They were not ‘Americans’ as yet, but were foreigners, sojourners, or pilgrims. They left their familiar shores and came to a strange land on a ‘pilgrimage’, that is, a journey to a foreign land, by a traveler or sojourner, a pilgrim if you will. We look on these first people to stand on the shores before the nation we call America was officially founded as the ‘Pilgrims’, even calling them the ‘first Americans’. But they were not official Americans as yet. But to these shores there were others here already, and although they were not strangers to this land, they also were not Americans, yet. This, though is not about who or what were or are considered the real Americans. The truth be told, all are on their own ‘Pilgrimages’ in this world of ours.

As Christians and followers of Jesus Christ, we are Pilgrims as well. As Abraham left his native origins and looked for a ‘city whose builder and maker was God’, he was a sojouner and a traveler. A Pilgrim, who looked for this city that the Lord had built. The descendants of Abraham also were ‘Pilgrims’ in a foreign land. The land called Egypt and after 400 years came out of that land which had at the start been a refuge had become a taskmaster. The descendants of Abraham, “Pilgrims” and “Foreigners” in the land knew what it was like to abide under a hard hand, as slaves, and not actually belong to a place or a land. It was to these Hebrew slaves that Moses was sent to bring Gods deliverance to them and make a place for these “Pilgrims” in a land of their own. A land given to them by the Lord God.

Philippians 3:14  I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
15  ¶Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.

The Geneva Bible says:
Philippians 3:14 And follow hard toward the (*) mark, for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
*That is, to obtain the crown of the glory in the heavens

UpWard Call of God in Christ Jesus: INTRO

We all have hope who believe in Him who the Father has sent. It is this Hope that we must have, it is through our Faith and Hope, that we bring to bear that which God has put in us through Christ Jesus.

Hope therefore, is never inferior to faith, it is an extension to it. In these tough and perilous times, let us catch the vision of the ‘Upward call of God in Christ Jesus’ and what it means to us as followers of Jesus Christ.

Faith possesses, it never stands still, it never quits, it is a winner! Gods grace is his favor, it is by Grace, through Faith, that we are saved, those of us who believe! It is this Grace, from the Father, that divine power given to them that believe which enables them to possess and overcome!

Words: 822
KeyWords: God, Noah, violence, society, Hamas, Jesus, Iesous, Yeshua HaMassiach,

“Oh Prophet, what of the Day?” screams the headlines today. Paul wrote that in the latter days, which include us, “perilous times” shall be the theme of the day. This word describes a society that is totally removed from any godliness. It is a time when wicked people do wickedly and wickedness is upon the earth. Has there ever been a time as this.

Yes, Jesus said that “as in the days of Noah”, so shall it be in the coming of the son of man. Those six words describe Paul’s society of Perilous times. In fact the bible says it this way:
Genesis 6:13 ¶And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
1Peter 3:20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.
2 Peter 2:5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;

The word “violence” according to strongs Hebrew #2555, transliterated into English means violence, destruction, cruelty, wrong, injustice, hatred, false, unrighteousness. It comes from a verb transliterated as ‘Hamas’ to do violently, to do violence, to do harm, to lay waste, to think up, devise, and to be stripped of. This verb has cognates in Aramaic, Akkadian, and Arabic, according to my libronix research library. Does the Word ‘Hamas’ mean anything to you today? It pictures such a society that God said “the end of all flesh is come before me”. Peter said of this society it was “ungodly” and that Noah was a “preacher of righteousness”. Noah was not just building his ark 8 hours a day, going home drinking latte’s, and then going to bed. In the spare time, and while this man was building an ark, he was speaking to those around him to repent. He did this so much, he was considered a “preacher of righteousness”.

The Grapes of Wrath
by the Watchman
Dana G Smith
keywords: grapes of wrath, revelation, God, LORD, America
words: 2245

The Study we covered this week is called the ‘Grapes of Wrath’. It is found in Revelation chapter 14. The angel of God who has a sickle is told to ‘thrust in thy sharp sickle and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth, for her grapes are fully ripe’. It is here we get a picture of the harvesting of the earth and the winepress into which the grape go into. It is the ‘great winepress of the wrath of God.’ The Apostle Paul spoke that he knew the ‘terror of the LORD, therefore he persuaded men.’ He persuaded them to repent, seek God, believe in Jesus Christ, follow him, and keep his commandments.

Revelation 14:17  And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.
18  And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe.
19  And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God.
20  And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.

Revelation 15:1  ¶And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.

Yet I will Rejoice in the LORD,

In the God of my Salvation!

e book front
I will Rejoice in the God of my Salvation, Watchman E -Book

“Life and Times that brought Bottom Line Faith to Habakkuk”
This is the Latest E book
by the Watchman Dana G Smith
Words: 7826
Keywords: Habakkuk, LORD, God, Salvation, Nations, Judgment, Isaiah, Revelation

Habakkuk whose name means ‘embrace’, faced a national crisis in Judah. The words describe the scene around him and these words are: violence, iniquity, grievance, spoiling, strife, contention, law is slacked, judgment never goes forth, wicked compasses the righteous, wrong judgment is the result. During the time of such crisis, Habakkuk was embraced by God, who answered his questions and found faith and sustenance in God who would see him through the coming trial upon the nation. This prophet would also ‘embrace’ others, and help them to find the God of their salvation as well.

In the beginning of the book, we find this prophet crying to God and asking how long it would be before he would hear. All this wickedness and violence were all around him, it looked as though the wicked and evil had taken over the place. The man of God had faith, but right now, he needed answers to the calamity that surrounded him. Where was God? Why was this happening? How long would the LORD allow it to go on? All this was on the prophets heart and mind, as well on the thoughts of the other righteous in Judah at the time.

Habakkuk 1:2 O LORD, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear! even cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save!
3 Why dost thou shew me iniquity, and cause me to behold grievance? for spoiling and violence are before me: and there are that raise up strife and contention.
Habakkuk 1:4 Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth

Bend Toward the LIGHT~
by the Watchman Dana G Smith
keywords: light, God, Father, Jesus Christ, Y’Shua Ha Massiach, saved, darkness
Words: 2773

I saw a new plant today, one I planted from the seeds of an apple. It had grown and was on the shelf. As I saw it, in the beginning of the day it was straight as I had just put it in the sunlight. Later on in the day after a portion of the days sun shining on it, it was bending toward the sun, the light!

Through the day the sun continued to shine on this small plant, it was growing and pointing about 45 degrees towards the sun where the rays of light came from through the window. As night came, I moved the plant onto the counter as it was small I tucked it gently near a corner. The morning came as usual and I saw the small green plant. It was still green and fresh, standing tall as ever. But it was standing straight up. Even with the kitchen light on, the plant never moved toward these rays of light. The Florescent light did not cause the plant to bend towards its light either.

“Preparing for Armageddon”

The race is on as people seem to be ready for anything to happen. Yet, that day shall not come except the “great falling away” and the “son of perdition” shall arrive!

1 Thessalonians 5:2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

6 ¶Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

7 For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.

8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.

9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ

The early Christians knew paganism well and also the religious aspect of the Roman empire that aspired and grew around them. Rome never forbade religious exercise unless it threatened the empire or became at odds with the Gods of the empire or the Caesar himself. The era of Christian persecution in the empire of Rome spread itself by Nero [54-68], then by Maximinus the Thracian [235-238], followed by Emperor Decius [249-251]. Another round found its way to the Christian under Valerian [253-260], but the last and most cruel of all persecutions was under Diocletian in 305. It was under this emperor that laws were passed in which made it illegal to possess sacred books and enjoy fellowship in churches. This was followed by the illegalization of any persons who were Christian priests, unless said priest made obeisance to the Roman Gods with sacrifices. Then the Emperor made his final coup etat, by making all people in the Empire bow and make sacrifices to the Roman gods under threat of death. The Warriors of the LORD God!
‘the People that Know Their God’
A psalm
By the Watchman Dana G Smith

bible

Psalms 20:5 We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the LORD fulfil all thy petitions.
6 ¶Now know I that the LORD saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.
7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.
8 They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.

Jeremiah 16:19 O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.

Daniel 11:32 And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.
33 And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days.
34 Now when they shall fall, they shall be holpen with a little help: but many shall cleave to them with flatteries.
35 And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed.

There arises a troupe, an army!
Deep within their hearts burn a fire,
A fire of truth against error,
A fire of strength against evil,
A fire of love for the LORD their God.
A Fire of love for the brethren,
A fire of Compassion for the helpless,
These are those who have mercy, for they have obtained it,
These have a fire of the Spirit of God within them!

Yea, they will stand against the Day of Adversity,
Yea, they will say ‘this is the Lords doing’,
Yea, seek ye this God, even our Savior,
The Name Jesus, [Y'Shua Ha Massiach] Christ,
Name above all names, here on earth, and in heaven,
The only begotten of the Father, full of Grace and truth,
Repent now, behold the Salvation of our God.
