Todd Bentley’s sermon on June 22, 2008 in Lakeland, Florida was called, the
Dark Night of the Soul.

His emotional, dispirited talk was sprinkled every other word with “I, me, my, pain, hurt, inner healing, bad memories, etc.” He talked about going through the dark night of the soul. When I typed the phrase into Google, how surprising to find that he was talking about phase of consciousness raising process associated with the
Kundalini awakening.

Mystic Org. says, “Dark night of the soul” sounds like a threatening and much to be avoided experience. Yet perhaps a quarter of the seekers on the road to higher consciousness will pass through the dark night. In fact, they may pass through several until they experience the profound joy of their true nature.Many seekers would encourage the dark night experience if they knew what it was. However, to one engaged in the dark night, suffering seems unending. The dark night occurs after considerable advancement toward higher consciousness. Indeed, the dark night usually occurs like an initiation before one of these special seekers is admitted into regular relationship with higher consciousness. The dark night also occurs to those who do not seek relationship but immersion or unity in the higher consciousness. While the term dark night of the soul is used broadly, its general meaning — in the field of higher consciousness — is a lengthy and profound absence of light and hope. In the dark night you feel profoundly alone.

2 Chron 33:1-2, Mannasseh into witchcraft…
“Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem: But did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, like unto the abominations of the heathen . . . And he caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom: Also he observed times, and used enchantments, and used witchcraft
, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.

The Christian Church in the west would like to believe that the Devil is dead, or perhaps, he only lives in pagan foreign countries. However, the Devil is alive and thriving in the west. He has a great army of demonic slaves who are very busy capturing millions.

Let us look at former witch doctor, Bishop Vagalas Kanco’s testimony concerning demonic reality.Bishop Kanco describes his relations with the demonic world when he practiced witchcraft. “I had lived with the demons ever since I can remember. Some were my friends while others were my enemies. Demons never talked in terms of love. I personally did not think in those terms. I had a demonized heart, hard and very cold. The demons would torture and hurt me if I failed to obey them. Sometimes I would fear them while other times I felt safe with them. Many times, I experienced seeing demons leaving bruises cuts and bites inflicted on human bodies. I saw them throwing objects used to block the blessings of the “rebellious people” (Satan called Christians “rebellion people”). Demons enjoy opening and closing doors and windows, hurling of books and stones, setting fires, projecting through the air many other things. Often, I’ve witnessed those killing people and throwing human beings around. This is their mission, to kill, rob and destroy.” Bishop Kanco goes on to say, “The demons filled my dreams with their presence. They usually took me into other worlds and ethereally showed me things that are indescribable. Yes, the demons are undeniable. But now, I’ve come to know the reality of Jesus. However, the church needs to be aware not only of the demonic power that is motivating the physical world, but also the sovereign power of Jesus Christ that is over them. I believe that behind every activity in the world that is not of God, is demonic. I can point to the invisible spirit that hides the demonic power. The Antichrist (anti - anointing) Spirit is motivating this evil power.”

Desparate People:
The author received a telephone call from an African lady who was being subjected to bondage from demonic subjugation. She had gone to many Christian churches and had decided to return to Africa to seek deliverance. She was studying to become a nurse but said that she could no longer endure the demonic attacks against her mind and body. Another lady called the author and reported that her husband was being demonically controlled. She went to her pastor seeking for help. She was told that if her husband needed deliverance that she should go home and cast the demon out of her husband.One young lady had become entrapped in a Satanic coven. She was attending church with her parents. A young man asked her to go to have pizza after church. Her parents were thankful that she had met a friend. After she had established a friendship with the young man, he invited her to go to a meeting with him. He took her to a dark warehouse. When they entered, she said that the place was full of young people who were mainly dressed in black. She said the women had white makeup and black lipstick. There was strange fragrances in the air. She saw candles but the place was very dark. She said that her friend took her by her hand and led her to the platform. He introduced her to the crowd as his goddess. Everyone bowed on their knees and began to worship them. She became his companion and attended this Satanic meetings regularly and her parents never had a clue. She said, “they just thought her Satanic boyfriend was a fine Christian boy.”She said that this cult was into human sacrifices. No one could see her soul condition and she sunk deeper into this lifestyle. She was afraid that the group would kill her if she became a Christian. Remember, she met the Satanist in her church and recruited her right under the nose of her pastor and parents.A parent brought her thirteen-year-old girl to us. The strange tale that the girl told her mother was very bizarre. She said her new friend invited her to go her home after church. The girl announced to her that she was a witch. The Christian girl was shocked but thought she was just playing a joke on her. But it was not a joke. Her friend told her that she could change her eye color, her hair color and make the furniture levitate. She then, demonstrated these magical activities. The new friend tried to get her to join her coven. “My mom is the queen of the coven and she uses me to invite kids from church and school.”She gave the thirteen-year-old some articles, black shoes, black scarf and other things. We went to the Christian girl’s home and destroyed those spell-bound things and set the Christian girl free. These are just a few things that we could share with you. However, we did so for the purpose of revealing to you there is no safe place unless you have knowledge.

People are looking for something more than themselves. They are looking for supernatural power. They are finding cold, traditional oriented churches without the power of God. So, they are seeking esoteric experiences, apart from Jesus
