Antichrist, False Prophets and the End of the Age Deception

Introduction: Warnings From the Apostle John:

1. “Even Now there are many Antichrists”

The deceivers are here now!

1 John 2:18  ¶Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

2. “They went out from us, but they were not of us”

The deceivers came from among the church of Jesus Christ

1 John 2:19  They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

3. “Ye have unction from the Holy One, ye know all things”

But you, if you are truly a disciple of Christ Jesus have unction, a power, from the LORD. This unction from the Holy Spirit will teach you.

1 John 2:20  ¶But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.

4. “I Remind you of the Truth you already know”

Many already know that such deceivers are here!

1 John 2:21  I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.

5. “The Liar denies that Jesus is the Christ, but the antichrist denies the Father and the Son”

We must stand on the Truth of Who Jesus Christ is, what he has done, and know he is truly the ‘only begotten Son of God the Father’.

1 John 2:22  Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
1 John 2:23  Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.

6. “Abide in that which we have taught you, continue in the Son and the Father”

We must stand on the Truth and abide in it, not wavering nor leaving what we know to be the truth, no matter how strong the deception in the world.

1 John 2:24  Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

7. “You have a Promise, Eternal life, if you follow the liar or the Antichrist; this promise is vain to you”

As true followers of Christ Jesus, we have a promise built upon the faithfulness of God, that he is not man and cannot lie. We have eternal life, this life is in his Son. If you follow the deceiver, this promise will be lost to you

1 John 2:25  And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.
1 John 2:26  These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.

8. “You have received an anointing abiding in you, you don’t need any man teach you. This same anointing teaches you all things, is truth, is no lie, and it has taught you, you shall abide in him (the Son and the Father).”

Again remember that as a disciple, a true follower and a born again of the spirit believer you have an anointing that you received from the LORD. It is in you, don’t look to man to teach you. Although we have teachers, pastors, ect, the real truth is, we all have an anointing and if you in truth and sincerity of heart seek the LORD, he will reveal that truth to you. Don’t follow a prophet just because, test the spirit.

1 John 2:27  But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

9. “Try the Spirits, don’t believe every spirit”

Some of the biggest deceivers have been in the church. We have on record the historical facts of Jim Jones and others who in the church led their followers to destruction. This is why, test the spirits. Many go by a ‘prickly feeling’ or ‘signs’ or ‘wonder’. But in fact, we are to check fruit, the fruits of men. We are to see if they follow Apostolic doctrine, the true foundation laid upon the:
1. Prophets
2. Apostles
3. Jesus Christ the chief cornerstone

If it is not, run from it. Don’t follow some evangelist, preacher, prophet, apostle, if his ministry doesn’t line up with the Word. Don’t’ give heed to some preacher who is filled with ‘familiar spirits’ or ‘new age spirit’ that makes people bark like dogs, howl like wolves, and act as if they are possessed by some spirit. They are possessed, but by a ‘new age spirit’ bringing in deception.

1 John 4:1  ¶Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

10. “The Spirit of God confesses Jesus Christ came in the flesh, was the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth, revealed the Father, died on the cross for you sins, was resurrected three days later, and was seen of many witnesses, and was received up to heaven, and is coming again.”

The bottom line is that if someone is of God, Then they will Speak Jesus Christ, the only begotten of the Father, who came in the flesh, died for our sins on the cross, was resurrected, and raised from the dead, ascended to heaven, is on the right hand of the Father, and is coming soon.

1 John 4:2  Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:

11. “Any spirit that confesses otherwise is not of God, is the spirit of Antichrist”

Judge the spirit to see if it will line up with the solid foundation of the Word of God,. If it doesn’t, then run from it. If you wonder about someone or something remember the LORDS Warnings:
-‘Take heed’
-‘Go not after them’
-‘Do not be deceived’

1 John 4:3  And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

Jesus Christ in Matthew 24 and verses 5 and 23 says twice to ‘take heed’ in the end time discourse that many today read. He is saying to ‘take notice’, ‘perk up and listen to me’, this is important he says to us all. What is he talking about? Simple, deception! It comes in the form of leaders who are calling themselves apostles, prophets, teachers, preachers, church leaders, or even saying they are Christ himself. Maybe they are saying they are ‘God’ himself. We are living, I believe in the last of the last days. It is shortly before the ‘great tribulation’, in a time called ‘beginning of sorrows’. It is a time for all true believers to do as the Lord commands:
- Revelation 18:2-4, God’s people are told to ‘come out of Babylon’ and be ‘not partakers of her sins, nor receive of her plagues.’
- The Babylon of the nations, which some see as America, the system itself, and even the church can be filled with the spirit of the Whore and of Babylon. As believers we are not to be of this world, nor have friendship with it, nor want it. Our home is with the Lord. We are commanded to come out from all such entanglements and follow the Lord not the flesh or world.
- Revelation 12:11, God’s people the true followers are those who have ‘overcome by the blood of the lamb [accepted the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross], the word of our testimony [what Christ is, what he did, and our relation to him], and we love our lives not unto the death [we are disciples, loving the Lord, doing as he says over all things, including our own lives.]
- Revelation 14:12, God’s disciples are all those who keep what the Lord says to do, his commandments, not as a law, like the Jewish law keeping, but doing as he says, keeping his commandments because we love him and keeping the faith of Jesus. We are to walk by faith. We are saved by Grace through faith, not of ourselves; it is the gift of God. Yet as a gift, as followers, the LORD says “if you love me, you will keep my commandments.”

Yet as disciples, whom many are called by the name Christian, we fail many times to understand the true nature of what is coming and what has already arrived. We are given stark warnings against falling away from the faith and the true teachings Jesus Christ gave his Apostles. For many, a different denomination is nothing more than another belief, other way to heaven, and no trouble at all. This mistaken belief has led us to accept anyone that names the name of Christ as a brother or sister in Christ. In Fact, many deceivers are entered in among us, as in the early church. It was a time when from among the church itself, deceivers sprang up with man made deceptions, doctrines of men, philosophies, bringing error that in the end would lead many to destruction.

For the believer today, there is much trouble coming. In Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21, and in Revelation we see the vast warnings, prophecies, and end of the age descriptions we have been given. But none is so stark as the warning of the Lord himself. At the very beginning of the discourses he plainly says to “take heed.” The heeding was to the deception of the end times.

The specific time we are living in is the ‘end times’ described in the above verses. Men and women today are caught up living their lives, paying bills, going to church, raising kids, and for the most part, believing all will be as it always has. The church and even American itself, along with many other nations, are in a ‘plausible deniability’ scenario. This means that, especially for Americans, we denial anything like the bible scenario above could happen. They simply don’t believe America could or would ever fall. They raise their kids, watch their grandkids grow, and believe that all is well, that nothing will befall America. After all, God watches over the nation they live in. The truth is, nothing could be further from the truth. It is that truth, the denial of many, which will in fact lead many to false hoods and error. The time is ripe for such false Christ, false Prophets, and teachers to arise. These have already arisen out of the 60’s and today have ministries that are huge. There are others comings, false ones, erroneous light bearers who will bring deception upon people. Americans are especially open to this. For this nation and its people, who have had so much, thinking about sin and sinful ways are not the in thing to do. Many Americans do not realize that their deeds of the flesh and nation will bring the wrath of God upon them, indeed for many it is nothing to even get upset over. For them, America will stand as a Lady forever. For the land was made great by the forefathers, laborers, Americans, and those in this great land. It was not by the hand of God, but the Lord says to us ‘Thy pride, which we have a lot of, goeth before destruction.’

-Proverbs 16:18  ¶Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.
-Ezekiel 16:49  Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.
-Obadiah 1:3  The pride of thine heart hath deceived thee, thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, whose habitation is high; that saith in his heart, Who shall bring me down to the ground?

The season for deception is today. Time is close now that more turmoil will open up in all the nations. Men’s hearts will be gripped with fear for the things coming upon the earth. This is the time ‘of vengeance’, a time of the ‘snare’ upon all nations. It will catch all nations, people, and bring the purpose of the LORD into being.

Luke 21:22  For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.
2 Thessalonians 1:8  In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Hebrews 10:30  For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people
Luke 21:35  For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.

When this begins to take its toll on men and women, families and children, they will be open for answers that will relieve their troubles. Remember now that in these days, ‘false Christ’s and false Prophets will arise and deceive many.” Why? Because these deceivers bring a false light that appeal to the flesh. It will bring relief to the people and cause those who have rejected the “love of the truth” found in 2 Thessalonians chapter 2 to follow the deception. These deceptions will be so powerful that unless you are on fire, vibrant, and really are sold out to the LORD, then you will be deceived. A Carnal church, a church who follows the ‘children of disobedience’ will find the wrath of God upon them. Truly these last days will be an opportunity for the deceivers to led many to destruction. For Chaos will reign in order to bring in the Lord of Chaos, ‘the son of perdition’ who will bring in ‘signs and wonders’ which will come to pass. These deceptions are given and will be so strong that only one power could have allowed it. The LORD God himself will send such delusion and allow it. For the generation he sends it on has rejected him, his Son, the Love of the Truth. It is this generation that will follow their own way and say to the LORD GOD, ‘remove all your laws, boundaries, commands and chains from us.’

This generation in fact will fulfill Psalm 2 [I suggest you read it]. As men and women get weary they will be more open to such deception that we cover in this article.

For it will be a time of:
-Deceivers and deception
-Destruction
-Wars, rumors of War
-Earth shaking and being moved as if all laws of nature were remove
-Signs in heaven and upheaval in the stars, again , as if all the laws that governed them were remove.
-Fear, terrorism
-Violence, bloodshed, rapes, murders, society in turmoil, no peace
-Fear upon all men
-No peace on earth or for men
-Vengeance for disobedience to the LORD
-Physical distress upon all nations
-Cares of this life, people will wonder how they will survive
-Drunkenness will do no good as all is in complete chaos
-Mens hearts will be so filled with all this that the deceiver will arrive in time to bring them temporal relief

It is in this, that I tell you to seek the LORD, Fast, and Pray. Read this, study it, and study more on your own. Do not take this lightly. Take heed; observe what I am warning you!
