Reprobate: without moral scruples and abandoning themselves to damnation.

Romans 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate[person without moral scruples, abandon to eternal damnation] mind, to do those things which are not convenient.

A sign in front of a church asked the question “How will you spend eternity, smoking or non smoking?” To us, this may seem a funny quote and one that does bring a smile. But the truth of it is, we are in serious trouble folks. At one time, many believed that Europe was the most secular continent on earth. Many missionaries would consider evangelizing in Europe akin to Muslim-held Middle Eastern countries. In many parts of the former white Anglo Saxon world, the Muslim religion is gaining ground. But of course so are paganism, Wicca, and immorality. John Chalfant, writing in Abandonment Theology said “Christians neutralized into inactivity will be spectators of their country’s free fall into collapse”. Is that what is happening in America, a “free fall into our nations collapse?”

Today, more than ever in America the believers seem to be deluged with immoral behavior and attacks upon Christianity. If we do stand up, many call those who do this every name in the book. An example of this is the so-called “Cracked Cleric” who was fined for speaking out against homosexuality. He was running for Parliament in the U.K. and was convicted of acting in a manner likely to cause offense or distress. What did he do? This Pastor of the Lighthouse Fellowship, a evangelical church in Salisbury was towing a large sign which read “reject God and you may become a homosexual”.

In another instance we find the international vice-president of the Theosophical society and Professor Emeritus of the University of Georgia, who said of the Fall, which as Christians form the basic theology of the concept of sin, that it was a “myth”. The professor, who teaches at a major university, must have great influence on our kids today in that setting. The question also must be asked, “how many unbelieving, secular teachers, professor’s, and educators do we have promoting their views in our educational system?”

In a article on “Cascading corruption”, the Howard center for Family, Religion, and society described a culture falling headlong into immorality.

“Gay marriage,” that contradiction in terms, is on the table everywhere. The Episcopal Church has chosen a “gay” bishop. The protests of those who adhere to Scripture and/or natural law are being treated with ridicule or phony understanding in the media, on talk shows, and elsewhere. Disney World has its Gay Day — and makes no apology. “Sitcoms,” television dramas, and the like are full of homosexual themes. The quality of language and or imagery has plunged one step lower. Otherwise relatively innocuous television shows such as Enterprise show a major actress with momentarily bare breasts, the West Wing president calmly speaks of his daughter living in Paris for three months with her “boyfriend,” even as he instructs Secret Service personnel accompanying her to kill him if the need arises. What could the boyfriend do that would make that necessary? Take a male lover himself?

As for America is concerned, many feel that we need to fit in. Maybe that is the reason why we are putting through all the laws, like the recent one in California promoting the homosexual agenda. It is cause also to remember the Alabama Supreme court justice who would not remove the Ten Commandments display from the building, but later was removed and the commandments also vacated the building. An anonymous email I found stated the following about this incident:

Many times in the fight to stand up for justice and morality, we get called names. The classic fight today is against the Proud Homosexual agenda. This agenda includes forcing on America the lewd values of homosexuals, lesbians, transgenders, and others who feel threatened because they follow immoral ways and expect others to approve of it or at least let them practice their immorality where everyone is subjected to it. Calling it the most violently homophobic period in history, the 2005 First international day against Homophobia was announced. This was announced to the United Nations, which was sent a copy of their declaration.

The 20th century has undoubtedly been the most violently homophobic period of history: deportation to concentration camps under the Nazi regime, Soviet gulags, blackmail and persecution in the United States in the McCarthy era. [www.petitiononline.com/mod_perl/signed.cgi?idaho]

October of this year, the Exotic Erotic Ball took place in the Cow Palace. The palace is historic, one of the oldest indoor arenas in this nation. What would past patrons who went to the palace in 1941, the first year it was established say of this perverts ball? The event is one where people pay $67.95 to $133.95 to attend an event that would make most people blush. The event was described by the Santa Cruz Sentinel who said it was bad news for “Cotton Mather and the other pious Puritan souls of Salem and the greater Massachusetts Bay Colony”, the paper concluded this: “Your side has lost. The witches have won.”

The descriptions of the ball go from depraved and licentious, to the sinner, harlot, and fornicator. During the 60’s, a sexual revolution was in full swing. The Beatles came on the scene, drugs, alcohol, and free sex was everywhere. From there we descended to total sexual chaos as whatever men or women desired it was okay. It is from these beginnings in the 60’s that this Erotic ball was able to take shape. This eroticism of all erotic events brought in 10,000 men and women to participate. The paper called this event a “carnival of lust”. From raunchy porn films, dancers, marital aids, and naked women and men, the Sentinal begins to describe scenes that reflect Sodom, the night the angels came to get Lot and his family. This ball also is to be added to all the street fairs, gay pride, transgendered, and whatever else they can think up to celebrate in California. But it happens also in every major city in the USA. This is the Reprobate Society in America, people who have been blessed enough to live in a nation that has had everything, food, clothes, homes, money, wealth, and fame, yet they do not fear God nor what his judgment may be.

We may not be going through hell yet, but just wait. A holy God will not allow a nation to fall headlong into such depravity and not send a warning shot along the bow. The recent fires in California came on the heels of the Homosexual bills that were signed by the Governator Arnold. This was one such warning shot on the bow of depravity. Did anyone pay attention to it? Many will not, some may, but the rest who know better are seeking their God and waiting for him to call them out of Babylon (a word I use for this nation, meaning a place that will see judgment). The Reverend Jonathon Edwards whose famous sermon “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God” said something to listen we need to repeat:

“Reprobate infants are vipers of vengeance, which Jehovah will hold over hell, in the tongs of his wrath, till they turn and spit venom in his face!”

There is a need today to re-think just where our nation is headed. Many nations today see this as an issue of rights. The issue today is what does God say about it. The nations and men running things, for the most part, do not like the morality many believers stand on. The trouble as well is many churches today have caved in on the moral issue. They go to church, have fellowship, and walk as Christians, yet they are immoral and godless. They may claim to follow the Lord God, but in their walk they deny him. This is the carnal church, the Whore church mentioned in Revelation. The Warnings are stark and real, take heed lest ye fall.

Revelation 2:20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication

Revelation 17:4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
